Now XCargo, the best software for planning logistics and transports, automatically generates freight matrixes from existing, evaluated shipping data. You can now geo-code coordinate formats and apply complex planning models directly to Excel data via an interface to the planning platform Logistics Designer. The newest Version 4.7 was released by LOCOM Software in December 2011.
What’s new in XCargo 4.7:
New Module for Calculating Bids and Tariffs
Forwarders and logistics service providers can use XCargo to make tariff calculation clear and transparent, and at the same time noticeably reduce the effort involved in calls for bids and tariff negotiations. The new module called “Matrix Estimator” uses evaluated shipping data to automatically generate freight matrixes with individual classes or zones for weights and distances.
Use Coordinate Formats for Geo-Coding
Instead of using the names of countries, zip codes, or the names of cities, you can now use any desired format for coordinates to perform geo-coding and create the representation of your information on maps. Use the so-called XY coordinates provided by your tracking system or any other data source to analyze and visualize your transports, locations, and routes.
Linked to Planning Models in Logistics Designer
For special planning needs and efficient work throughout your entire company, XCargo links you as an Excel Client directly to Logistics Designer, the best software for integrated supply chain and logistics planning at LOCOM. This new bridge from XCargo to Logistics Designer allows you to apply previously generated and centrally stored planning models for data manipulation, routing, and cost analysis directly to your current Excel data.
Updated Maps and Distance Tables
The newest distance reference works from map&guide and EWS allow you to take account of new roads, new freeway segments, and speed limits that have changed.
